I’m really pleased to share with you an update on improvements to the AIC Web Site and to the AIC Bookstore Publications that are part of the on-going celebration of the start of the AIC’s 2nd decade on the Web.

My objective has always been to offer viewer/readers a site where they don’t have to learn the mechanics of electronic communication to access and benefit from the teaching materials on the site. Today I updated the LEARN YOUR WAY page to give it a cleaner look with a new graphic that emphasizes the ease of choosing from each viewer/listener learning preference. There is a tab for this page at the top and bottom of all pages.

WATCH: We now over Christian Education, Bible Study and Seasonal Videos in eighteen series with about 200 episodes. Each of these has been updated to reflect new features and new content.

LISTEN: The voice and music track to each of these videos is linked on the Podcast Archive page, which displays each series placed in the order of the Church Calendar from Advent to Trinity and Sunday next before Advent.

READ: During 2020 and 2021 A.D. I created books which incorporate much of the teaching material in the videos but which also gives readers access to an unparalleled scope and quality of images of historic Christian art from the 5th to the 21st C. At considerable expensive, I located sources for high-resolution images of icons, mosaics, frescoes, engravings, paintings, enamels, watercolors, pen or pencil sketches and woodcuts. I urge viewers to take a look at the details of the final book in the series, The Acts of the Apostles: Annotated & Illustrated, which is found on my Amazon Author Central page. The cover illustration is a photograph of a mosaic installed at the Capella Palatina, Palermo, Sicily, in the thirty years following the consecration of the chapel in 1140 A.D. during the reign of Roger II, the first Norman King of Sicily. The image, and two others, was shared by the photographer, John Schermann. Finally, all the older books in the AIC Bookstore have now been updated, with new introductions and information about all seventeen books offered through our Virtual Bookstore. Please note that during these updates some publications will be unavailable until final review and approval, usually within 2-3 days.

This is to keep readers and viewers updated on the planned changes to the Anglican Internet Church web site. As announced, I am exploring creating a tax-exempt trust to operate the site. The first step is a preliminary meeting with an attorney scheduled for early February. The trust would be funded to ensure that necessary fees to the host of the site, the host site for our videos, the host site for our podcasts would be paid annually, keeping the site’s many unique resources available to the public indefinitely.

Another aspect of these changes is an on-going update to all the AIC Bookstore Publications and to our Christian Education, Bible Study and Seasonal Videos to include accurate links to our current vendors and eliminate obsolete content. To this end, I have now completed the first stage of bookstore updates. All the books will have up-to-date information about the books and now to access them. I am hopeful of completing these update before the end of February. Planned updates to The Twelve Days of Christmas video series await recording of corrections and additions, with completion expected before the end of March.

Thanks for your continued interest. Preservation of and continued access to traditional Christian teaching materials is critical in this era of assault upon Christianity in particular and “civilization” in general.

The next step in the evolution of the Anglican Internet Church is in the works. I’m exploring the creation of a charitable trust which would operate the site into the indefinite future, preserving public access to the library of resources available through the site. The trust would be funded to ensure that all the necessary sites and links are maintained and freely available to the public. I’ve asked several trusted people to serve as trustees. There are some technical issues still to be resolved. Under the proposed plan all the site content would remain in my name with my copyrights in effect.

Meanwhile, I continue to upgrade various assets on the site, including a 2022 edition of The Twelve Days of Christmas video series. The program is getting a facelift, with many new slides and a format making it consistent with all the other upgraded video series in the site. Nearly all the changes to the files are complete and only need the conversion into iMovie format and final uploading. I’m hopeful this can be completed in January and February. In the coming months, I plan to upgrade all the earlier bookstore publications to eliminate dated content, references to social media sites no longer used and cross-references to the New Testament series of five books.

I had hoped to finish all the updates to existing material during A.D. 2021, but I could not get the work done in time. The resources that have been saved at http://www.AnglicanInternetChurch.net are quite large: 1) 18 video series with almost 200 episodes. 2) Seventeen books, some with Kindle editions already completed and available and others with work still in progress or not yet started. I’ve fixed many issues regarding links to my Amazon Author Central page. All the print books are now included on the site. 3) Over 225 podcast, some with accurate links and some with confused links that need fixing. Finally, seventeen books

Nonetheless, here’s the latest progress:

Podcast Homilies: all Podcast Homilies have now been updated, saved and linked from the Podcast Homilies page to our podcast site (Podbean.com).

Video Series: There are now almost 200 videos hosted at our Vimeo.com site, with links from the Digital Library page or Bible Study/New Testament pages. I had thought that I had fixed all the issues with The Twelve Days of Christmas series, but during this season it became evident that there are still several technical issues which need resolution. These include correction of technical issues (stutters, mumbles/fumbles, and incorrrect or incomplete picture credits). These cannot be changed until after the 2021-2022 A.D. Christmas season is over.

Podcast Links: There still remain several issues concerning the podcast links for some of the video series. Again, these cannot be repaired until early next year.

Amazon Author Central: I had not known that Amazon had made changes to their Author Central site. I have now adjusted AIC Bookstore materials to include all seventeen books. As noted above, the Kindle editions for the newest books are not complete.

Meanwhile: I remind site visitors and followers to view the appropriate episodes in the Twelve Days series. As of today, all twelve links now go to the correct file at Vimeo. As far as I can tell, there are no more dead links to our former site host’s site.

All the Podcast Homilies from First Sunday in Advent through Sunday after Ascension have been updated and the files linked from the Podcast Homilies page. The podcasts for Whitsunday/Pentecost and Trinity Sunday are currently being edited, with completion expected before Christmas. I am suspending further work on the podcast until after New Year’s Day.

The revised version of Lessons and Carols for Christmas Eve is now linked from the Welcome page and also the Digital Library page. The new music by Richard M. S. Irwin is inspiring. His web site http://www.hymnswithoutwords.com continues to offer music to parishes without a pianist or organist.

Finally, the 2021 Edition, started in early summer with the help of Richard M. S. Irwin in England, is now complete and linked from the Digital Library page. Thanks to the sharp eyes and ears of Richard, an error was discovered in the version linked in August. The error was the result of my using the American words to Good Christian Men, Rejoice, and Richard playing to the English version, which differs by one bar in the first verse.

With this new version, this year, anyone anywhere, anytime can have access to a traditional version of this classic Anglican program for Christmas Eve. Patterned after the much longer service at King’s College, Cambridge, England, this version features new music arranged and performed by Richard in a variety of media. The readings are from the Nativity narrative in the Gospel of Luke plus a reading from John 1.

With the publication of The Acts of the Apostles: Annotated & Illustrated and the completion of the rebuilding of all 28 episodes in our video series on Revelation: an Idealist Interpretation, I’ve turned my attention to finishing the planned upgrading of our unique Podcast Homilies series. I thought it was time for a complete overhaul of the series with which I started the AIC on the Web more than a decade ago. The AIC began with live broadcasting of services from my former parish via the pioneering but now-gone vendor, UStream. From that base, I built the 10-12 minute MP3 podcast homilies programs which attracted a significant following of the Web.

In 2020 and 2021, the focus was on updating all the video series, which now come to about 19 different programs presented in almost 200 episodes. I had worked on updating the Advent, Christmas and Epiphany series early in 2021, but never finished the job. I was not satisfied with the end product and quit before completing the Epiphany series.

This week I realized what it was that was missing from the old-style MP3 podcasts: music and a more complete connection between the MP3-based programs, the AIC Bookstore Publications (now with 17 books) and the teaching videos with beautiful and inspiring images Christians have created since the 6th C. A.D. The revised and expanded Podcast Homilies series opens with the same theme music used in the Seasonal Video series on the season in the Church Year, plus fixes a number of very technical issues, and adds more context plus more complete cross-referencing to the library of materials now available on or through this web site.

This afternoon I completed and uplinked from this web site all 28 revised episodes in Revelation: an Idealist Interpretation. There was so much new material that Episode 26 and Episode 28 had to be divided into two parts each. Episode 27 and Episode 28 offer a visual feast of colorful images from nearly all the major surviving manuscripts of St. John’s masterwork from the 8th to the 14th C. I expect to covert all the videos into podcasts in MP3 format during the next ten days.

Also completed this week was the 2021 upgrade and rebuilding of Lessons & Carols for Christmas Eve, which features all new music by Richard M. S. Irwin. The episode will be linked from this web site before the end of this week. I again thank Richard Irwin for his participation in this enterprise. I wanted Christians anywhere to have access to the traditional Anglican service in this age of lockdowns. The revised program has a running time of just over 25 minutes.

The next project is the completion of the planned upgrade of all the Podcast Homilies for the Sundays in the 1928 Book of Common Prayer. The scripts for all the revisions have completed but only those for Advent through Epiphany have been recorded. My plan is to release the already completed work before starting on the Sundays in “Gesima”, Lent, Easter and Trinitytide. These latter will be completed and released before the start of each season.

With the publication last month of the fifth book in the New Testament series, I intend to prepare an advertising campaign for the whole range of materials offered through this web site. These now include almost 200 videos across 18 different series, 17 books, and hundreds of podcasts.

This afternoon I completed the revisions and uploading of several additional episodes in the 2021 Edition of Revelation: an Idealist Interpretations. Episodes are now complete and linked from both the Revelation and Welcome pages for Episode One through Episode Twenty-three. Episode Twenty-four could be ready on First Sunday in Advent. There are many more illustrations and cross-references to Other AIC Resources on the same topics. Thank you for your patience in awaiting release of these upgraded episodes.

I’m very happy to report that the 2021 Edition of Revelation: an Idealist Interpretation video series has now been updated (video only, as of today) through Episode Fifteen (the Mighty Angel and the Little Book). Additionally, I have finished all the slides and scripts for Episodes Sixteen and Seventeen. I expect to have them uploaded before Thanksgiving. The faster production is owed to efficiencies in the production method (less wasted time going back and forth between slide fixes and soundtrack adjustments. With some good fortune I could have the whole series updated before the end of the year. I will have to stop production of the Revelation series in order to complete the update to Lessons & Carols for Christmas Eve.

The next projects are the planned upgrades to the Podcast Homilies series. I’ve completed but not uploaded the homilies for Advent, Christmas and part of Epiphany.
