Revelation – The Video series

Updates to Revelation: an Idealist Interpretation, the Bible Study Video version, continue. The series is the last to be updated to our most recent formats and cross-referenced to Other AIC Resources on this site. The series began live in 2013 A.D. as part of a series of livestream broadcasts over the web. It was updated to a different format in 2014 A.D. A further update was introduced around 2015 A.D., following my retirement from pulpit ministry. Each episode was a work in progress and there was no plan for now many episodes would be required to complete the project, which ended up with 28 episodes.

The revised edition of the series will have a cleaner look, more slides and a lot of images that were not part of the original series. For example, in the version that is still available on this web site, at the end of Episode Fourteen (Chapter 9) the final slide is No. 330. In the 2021 Edition the last slide in the same episode is No. 511. Here are some highlights: l. There are more maps and many new photographs in the section on the Letters to the Seven Churches of Asia Minor. 2. I have abandoned the format created for the livestreaming version of following the text down a column from top to bottom with mini-images. The iMovie format I now use allows for more fluid movement from slide-t0-slide and so all the reading texts are now presented with a single image plus text and more white space behind the text. 3. Many slides have been split into several slides, allowing tighter focus on the content. 4. I have been removing all references to our former video site host. The new versions are hosted at our Vimeo.com site. 5. I have adjusted the script to remove all out-of-date references to current events and future events/scheduled event. 6, and finally, the series has also been adapted to fit the Watch-Listen-Read initiative introduced early in 2020 A.D. into all the other video series. Revelation will have this closing slide for each episode.

I have completed all the slide and script changes for Episode One through Episode Fourteeen. Viewers can expect to see episode beginning to appear toward the end of October. While there is an end format of 28 episodes, I continue to run into roadblocks in executing the changes. This is a tedious and time-consuming venture so there is no timetable. Viewers can expect to see episode beginning to appear toward the end of October. Please be assured that all content will continue to be presented in the same episode number as in the existing format. The old video and podcast files will be removed as new versions are posted.

Thank you for your continued interest and support. Royalties for all sixteen books in the AIC Bookstore are deposited monthly to the AIC bank account.

May God bless you in all that you do in His Name. Glory be to God for all things! Amen!

Fr. Shibley retired from pulpit ministry at Epiphany A.D. 2014. Since then he has devoted his spare time to this online ministry producing videos, podcasts and books explaining traditional Christian theology and liturgy in layman's language with a minimum of technical or theological terms, and making them available either free or at reasonable cost.
