Revelation – Episode Fifteen and Seventh Sunday After Trinity

The War on Christianity continues, with imperial edicts promoting transsexuals in the military, fines for opposing gay marriage, gag orders against expressing Christian doctrine, and, yesterday, murders in the American heartland.   I do not think there has ever been a more concerted, disciplined assault on Christianity in the United States.  I fear more is coming.  Your only defense is the practice of Christian Spirituality, which they cannot take from you.  More on that in a later post.

Revelation – Episode Fifteen, focused on Chapter 10, the Mighty Angel and the Little Book, is now available on our You Tube channel and our Podcast channel.  Illustrations include John, the Angel and the Little Book, from Folio 26 in the Bamberg Apocalypse (early 11th Century) and an illustration from the Rohan Hours, published in France in the early 14th Century.   I performed some Adobe PhotoShop magic on the original image to get the view at left, using three or four tools to the get the image adjusted to resemble the likely original shape.  Watch Episode 15

I have finished the script, slides and sounds for Episode Sixteen (the Two Witnesses and the Seventh Trumpet) and expect to complete it and publish the episode by the end of next week.  Also in progress is Episode Seventeen (Chapter 12, The Two Witnesses and the Seventh Trumpet) and the remarkable illustrations for it from the Bamberg Apocalypse.

I continue to formulate a strategy for the proposed book based on the Revelation series.  To make certain that the book is consistent with the content of the series, I will wait until the final episode has been published via You Tube before starting the text of the book.   Adding color illustrations will add to the cost of the finished product, but I think the pictures from the Bamberg Apocalypse will prove an asset to the appeal of the book.

I also uploaded to our Podcast provider a Podcast Homily for Seventh Sunday After Trinity.  As is often the case, I added a few verses to the Gospel reading (Mark 8:1-9) to provide better context and make the message of the lesson more clear.  Seventh Sunday After Trinity
